The Wiarton-Keppel International Airport is located along the south shore of Colpoy's Bay. The airport sits on 820 acres atop the incredible Niagara Escarpment and was built in 1948 to act as an emergency runway. The facility boasts two runways: the asphalt runway is 5,021 ft long x 150 ft wide and the gravel strip runway is 3,100 ft long x 100 ft wide. This facility can accommodate larger aircraft like DC-9's, 727's and 737's.
The airport is owned and operated by the Town of South Bruce Peninsula and the Township of Keppel. Aircraft services include fuel, all oils, hangars, tie-downs and catering. Friendly service-oriented staff are pleased to assist air travelers with after hours fuel, taxi, accommodations and restaurant arrangements. On-site camping is offered and the facility is moments away from all the wonders of the Bruce Peninsula - winter and summer. Coordination of customs officials is also offered. There is a pilot's room, private shower and change room as well as a lounge available.
