Stone Orchid Treasure Cove
Just 3 KM south of Tobermory on Highway 6, The Stone Orchid Treasure Cove provides the collector with a tempting selection of quality Antique furniture, International art objects and Italian glass. You are invited to wander past Indonesian silk panels, Canadian pottery and look over the Chinese Ginger jars. Ask the owner, Joanne Oosterhuis (formerly chef of the Stone Orchid Restaurant now metamorphosed into the Treasure Cove) how to preserve ginger for an unusual taste treat. Take a look at books both old and new and move on to the quilts and coverlets. Joanne's husband John has selected a number of model ships for those interested in maritime history. Delicate lace items are displayed in a French wicker armoire next to traditionally patterned, hand-woven rugs from Iran.
Vintage clothing, designer shoes and purses are great fun to peruse. Specially chosen jewellery can complete an outfit or fill the bill for gift giving.
Customer satisfaction is as important to Joanne as is her pleasure in sharing her sense of color and design. The ever changing inventory reflects the myriad tastes of those who choose to come and enjoy the very special Bruce Peninsula.
