6 Nights & 7 Days Exploring the Bruce Trail
Day 1
- Arrive in Wiarton & familiarize yourself with the area or enjoy the day at the Islandview B&B with the breathtaking views of Colpoy’s Bay
- Take a Bruce Peninsula Helicopter tour of the area: 40 minutes. Total price for one or two passengers $399.00 - Around Owen Sound Tour flies over the picturesque harbour city of Owen Sound then follows the shoreline with its sweeping views of Georgian Bay, Hay, Griffith and White Cloud Islands, back to incomparable Colpoys Bay, ringed with the majestic bluffs that make the Bruce famous. (optional – request at time of booking in comment section)
- Enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants in the area.
Day 2
- enjoy a hearty breakfast and pack a lunch ($10.00 pp extra) for your journey
- Your car & luggage will be dropped off at Longlane B&B for an extra fee (.65/km). The walk from Islandview to the entrance of the Bruce Trail is 200 metres –– This is a 3-4 hour hike (approx. 9 km).
- You can take the side trail and explore the Bruce Caves & hike Chris Walker Side Trail (1.9 KM) or bypass the side trail and continue on to Longlane B&B.
- Arrive at Longlane B&B – a secluded, peaceful retreat (dinner can be provided at an extra cost, advance notice is required).
Day 3
- breakfast at Longlane B&B (You can take a packed lunch and/or dinner available at an extra cost with advance notice)
- Your car and luggage will be dropped off at Bramblewood B&B for an extra fee (.65/km). The walk to the trail is 1 KM from Longlane’s front door.
- Start your hike towards Bramblewood B&B (approx. 30 km). We can break up this hike and you can stay at Longlane for 2 nights. They will pick you up at any point in the trail and drop you off the next morning to finish the trail. (please request 2 nights at time of booking in the comment section).
- During your hike you will come to the Kemble Mountain Loop – The Nels Maher and Edmonstone Trails which is 2.9 KM. Kemble Mountain is a naturalist’s paradise. You will find 20 species of ferns.
- Arrive at Bramblewood B&B and settle in for the night, rest those feet for another day tomorrow. Dinner is on your own.
Day 4
- Start your morning with a homemade hearty breakfast
- Head towards Between the Maples B&B or Arbour House B&B in Owen Sound
- Hike to Owen Sound or go back a bit to the Ross McLean Loop (3 KM) and start here. This is a new loop opened in 2007. Look for the underground waterfall.
- Arrive at Between the Maples B&B
- Enjoy dinner at The Chaise Lounge
Day 5
- Enjoy a homemade breakfast (packed lunch can be provided for an extra cost)
- Hike toward Annan & Leith and stay at the Drs. Inn where you will enjoy 6 acres of park like grounds in the country, 5 min. from all amenities.
Day 6
- Enjoy a homemade breakfast (packed lunch can be provided for an extra cost)
- Start your final day and hike over to the Maplewood B&B perched on the Niagara Escarpment. When you arrive you can rest & relax in the hammock.
Day 7
- Breakfast provided
- Time to go home
